SMS Terms
These SMS Terms come in two parts. Part A covers text messages that Closelio AI LLC ("Closelio," "we," or "us") sends to our own customers and their users. Part B covers text messages that people receive from insurance agents and agencies who use Closelio to send texts.
Part A: Messages from Closelio to Customers and Users
1. What we send
If you have a Closelio account, or you are a User in a Closelio workspace, we may send text messages to the mobile number you give us. These messages relate to your account and may include:
- one-time verification codes for signing in or confirming your phone number;
- security alerts about your account;
- billing and payment notices; and
- service notices about your workspace, phone numbers, or messaging registration.
2. Frequency and cost
How many messages you receive depends on how you use your account. For example, you receive a verification code each time you request one. Message and data rates may apply, depending on your mobile plan.
3. Opting out and getting help
Where opting out is available for a type of message, you can reply STOP to stop receiving it. Verification codes are sent only when you or someone using your login requests one. If you opt out of texts, you may need to use a different method to verify your identity, and some features that depend on text verification may not work. Reply HELP for help, or email hello@closelio.ai.
4. Delivery
Mobile carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages. We cannot guarantee that a message will arrive or arrive on time, because delivery depends on your carrier and device.
5. Your information
Our Privacy Policy explains how we handle your phone number and other personal information. Your use of the Closelio service is also governed by our Terms of Service.
Part B: Messages from Insurance Agents Using Closelio
6. Who is texting you
Closelio is a technology provider. Insurance agents and agencies (our "Customers") use our software to send and receive text messages with the people they work with, such as prospects and clients. If you received a text through Closelio, it came from that agent or agency, not from Closelio. The agent or agency decides who to text, when, and what to say. Some agents use automated or AI-assisted messages.
The agent or agency is responsible for having your consent to text you and for following the laws that apply to their messages. We require our Customers to follow our Acceptable Use Policy, which includes texting only people who have given the consent the law requires.
7. Opting out
You can stop texts from a sender at any time by replying STOP to any message from them. STOPALL, UNSUBSCRIBE, CANCEL, END and QUIT work too. You may receive one final message confirming your opt-out. After that, the sender should not text you again through Closelio unless you opt back in. Opting out of one agent's messages does not affect messages from other agents.
8. Getting help
Reply HELP to any message to get help information from the sender. For questions about the agent's or agency's business, contact them directly. To report texts you believe are unwanted or abusive, email legal@closelio.ai with the phone number that texted you, the date, and the message content if possible.
9. Frequency and cost
How often you receive messages depends on the sender and your conversation with them. Message and data rates may apply, depending on your mobile plan. Mobile carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.
10. Privacy
The agent or agency that texts you controls how your information is used, and their own privacy practices apply. Please ask them for their privacy policy. Closelio processes your information on the sender's behalf to deliver the service. Our Privacy Policy describes that processing.
Mobile phone numbers and text message opt-in data are not sold or shared with third parties for their own marketing purposes. This does not stop us from sharing information with service providers that help deliver messages, or where the law requires.
Changes to these SMS Terms
